Emirates unveils new lounge at London Stansted Airport
The lounge is Emirates' sixth dedicated facility in the UK, adding to the airline's portfolio of world-class amenities and services.
Dubai: Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has officially opened its new lounge at London Stansted Airport. This spacious 900-square-meter facility, built for GBP 4 million, accommodates up to 125 guests, including First and Business Class travellers as well as Emirates Skywards members.
With 14 weekly flights between London Stansted and Dubai, Emirates continues to provide a luxurious and comfortable travel experience for its customers.
Mohammed Mattar, Divisional Senior Vice President of Airport Services at Emirates, emphasised the significance of London Stansted as an important gateway for Emirates and the airline’s commitment to enhancing the travel experience across six UK airports. “The new lounge is a testament to our brand promise of always flying customers better – in the air and on-ground.”
Gareth Powell, Managing Director at Stansted Airport, called the lounge a fantastic addition. “It demonstrates the airline's commitment to the airport and the wider region,” he noted.
Luxury amenities
The lounge features modern furnishings and dedicated seating areas designed for dining and relaxation. Customers can enjoy an exceptional selection of food and beverages, complimentary Wi-Fi, and refreshing shower facilities.
Located in Satellite 1, adjacent to the departure gates, the lounge offers direct boarding access with just a short 2–3-minute walk to the aircraft.
Farm-to-table dining experience
In partnership with Sussex-based Full Circles Farms, Emirates has introduced a “farm to table” food concept in its lounge. Guests can savour seasonal menus featuring fresh, organic vegetables and exquisite local dishes. Additionally, a selection of premium spirits, wines, and Moet and Chandon champagnes is available.
Longstanding presence in the UK
Since 1987, Emirates has played a key role in facilitating tourism and trade in the UK. The airline operates 133 weekly flights, including a double-daily Boeing 777 service to and from London Stansted. Emirates also connects the UK to numerous global destinations through its extensive network of over 140 routes across Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, Africa, and Australasia.
A legacy of comfort and luxury
This new lounge is Emirates' sixth dedicated facility in the UK, complementing existing lounges at London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Manchester. With this expansion, all London airports served by Emirates now offer premium on-ground experiences, allowing customers to relax and enjoy elevated dining options before their flights.
